H.G. Brown & Associates designed and facilitated a two-day retreat for 22 staff members in our YMCA association that helped us evaluate data from assessments the Association had accumulated in the past two years (i.e. financial concerns, membership information, communication surveys, and membership surveys). With that information, we were able to identify what our YMCA would look like in the future, define seven strategic areas of focus to make the YMCA a better organization (facility, mission, financial, staff, programs, community involvement, and atmosphere/environment). We continue to focus on these strategic areas as visual targets on a weekly basis, and then brainstorm ideas and suggestions to accomplish these tasks.
